With the recent release of Oracle TopLink 11g developers now have a commercially supported Java persistence solution built on the open-source EclipseLink project. The commercial TopLink 11g also provides integration enabling the effective use of the Oracle Coherence Data Grid.
EclipseLink is the open source project lead by Oracle which was initiated by the contribution of Oracle TopLink's source code. EclipseLink offers Java developers a world-class framework focused on leading persistence standards (JPA, JAXB, and SDO) as well as many advanced features required by enterprise application developers. The Oracle TopLink 11g release completes the cycle with the first distribution of TopLink including this important open source project. In addition to introducing the features and benefits of using EclipseLink this session will also introduce the new integration with Oracle Coherence which delivers a JPA solution enabling grid caching and data processing enabling the greatest possible scalability.
