Abstract

September means back to school and JavaSIG is no exception. In a trend we hope to continue, we will cover a java topic at an introductory level before opening the floor to Q&A. This month's meeting will feature two introductions - JSP, Servlets and Tomcat for the first half and Java & XML for the second half. If you're new to these technologies it will be a good opportunity to learn. If you're a veteran, come prepared to share your insights on the topics and practical experiences using them. We also have a couple books to give away from Addison-Wesley publishers.

David Ferrero of Zion Software will give a brief slide overview of JSP, Java Servlets and Tomcat. Art Alexander of HighOffer will give a brief slide overview of XML.
