Tuesday January 20th -Enterprise Service Oriented Architecture in Finance

Summary
Thanks to James McGovern and Jeff Ryan of the Hartford for their excellent presentation on "Enterprise Service Oriented Architecture in Finance." Jeff did an overview of current XML technologies and a live demo of a fine grained service incorporating xpath rule engine, declaratively built UI, and SPX. James covered not only the benefits and drawbacks of SOA but also what's next and touched on problem spaces, life cycle management, as well as keys to success. This presentation was a "must see" for anyone interested in SOA and loaded advice gained from actual practice and deployment.
