This month we are please to welcome Robert Rogers of SUN
Robert has a nickname ( "Red" ) that he prefers to go by. Just how he arrived at this nickname maybe one of you will have the courage to ask at the next meeting, I for my part will wait on the sidelines (just in case there is an embarrasing story that goes along with it <g>).
Red is a Java Software Systems Engineer with SUN. We became aquainted with him through his support of the Boston based JUG ( www.nejug.org ) that meets on SUN's Burlington campus. We can also thank him for the videos he forwarded on to us last year related to JINI (with Bill Joy hosting) and on JavaOne 2000. We can also thank both this JUG, and the Boston based ACM WebTech group for thier many fine presentations, some of which have allowed us to meet and attract talented presenters to our own little hamlett of Hartford.
We are still working on the "Java 101" theme presentations. Please remain patient as we organize the presenters. See you at the next meeting.
